January is finally as it should be – freezing cold, white and snowy. While my new film rolls are waiting to be developed, I wanted to come back to some memories from the most beautiful winter I have seen (and captures on film). When I lived in Sweden the winter months were actually quite mild, with plenty of sunshine and snowy landscapes. I remember one day I took a random suburban train, somewhere to the eastern islands, where I never went before. There were only a couple of people on the train and each station was more and more surrounded by forest. I decided to follow an old man with skis, we went into the forest, until I finally realised there’s a frozen lake under my feet. I wasn’t as brave as all the Swedes around me, but finally I made first cautious steps, and I started following them across the lake. To see where I ended up, and to see some more pictures from my other winter walks, please wait till my next post. 🙂
